Abu Dhabi Media celebrates the UAE Women’s Day on all its media platforms

Abu Dhabi Media (ADM) has announced today that it will be covering the UAE Women's Day on all its media platforms: radio, TV, print and digital through a series of shows, segments and media reports highlighting the success stories and achievements of Emirati women in all fields and arenas.

H.E. Dr. Ali Bin Tamim, General Manager of Abu Dhabi Media, said: "Abu Dhabi Media celebration of the UAE Women's Day is an affirmation of its role towards highlighting the high status held by women in the UAE."

“Abu Dhabi Media has sought to deliver exceptional content that mirrors the uniqueness of the Emirati women and shows her leading role in building a society through a number of shows that highlight her work in raising the nation’s youth, and celebrating her as the essence of our present.” Bin Tamim said.

“On this day, we cannot not forget the support of our wise leadership, starting with the directives of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, which were further established by H.H. Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and followed up by  H.H. Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, President of the General Women's Union, the Supreme President of the Family Development Foundation, the President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood and Mother of the Nation, rendering the UAE as a role model in supporting women and empowering them to be leaders”. He added.

“Today we celebrate women as the mother, the giver, the educator, the successful minister, the promising parliamentarian, the prominent leader and the productive employee, to confirm that the care takers of this nation live in the heart of every individual who breathes the love of this country.” Ali Bin Tamim concluded.

Abu Dhabi Radio Network

Abu Dhabi Radio Network has devoted special programming on all its radio stations: Emarat FM, Quran Kareem, Star FM, Abu Dhabi Radio, Radio Mirchi, Radio 1 and Radio 2, where it adapted its live shows to shed light on this occasion and air a number of interviews and reports on the UAE Women's Day.

"Quran Kareem" radio station is dedicating a special episode in its live morning show “Sabahul Nour” (Good Morning) to talk about the UAE Women's Day. The episode will host a number of officials from the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments and the Women's Union and Family Development. Abu Dhabi Radio will also cover the occasion in its morning live show "Sabbahkom Allah Belkhair” (Good morning to you).

Throughout Monday, Emarat FM will broadcast special recordings and interviews with prominent figures from the community, including H.E. Sheikha Lubna Al Qasimi, Minister of State for Tolerance, H.E. Ohoud Al Roumi, the UAE Minister of Happiness, and a number of female figures from all walks of life, in addition to quotes from H.H. Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, mother of the nation, and reports on her support for UAE women. Live shows such as Ahla Sabah (Best Morning), Ahla Masaa (Best Evening) and other shows will also tackle issues related to the occasion.

Star FM sheds light on the events held on the occasion of UAE Women's Day, addressing the most important news related to the occasion, such as the introducing audience to the UAE Women's Day and the story behind its creation. The radio’s news center will broadcast reports throughout the day, host a number of UAE leaders and will present reports and reportages on the UAE Women's Day including interviews with female leaders. The news and excerpts concerning this day will be aired with various bulletins and news flashes.

The foreign speaking radio stations of Abu Dhabi Radio Network will also be participating in the coverage of the day, where Radio Merchi is recording interviews with Emirati women to be broadcasted on their morning show highlighting the achievements of the UAE woman. In addition to that, Abu Dhabi Classic FM will also be featuring the highlighted events in the news section. While Radio 1 and Radio 2 will cover the event by interviewing Radio 1 producer, an Emirati female journalist, to talk about the role of Emirati women in the society and discuss the most important news about the occasion and analyze the most prominent Emirati figures.

Abu Dhabi TV Channels Network

For its part, the Abu Dhabi TV Network devoted a series of shows and segments to cover the UAE Women's Day under the slogan "Women are partners in goodness and giving", in order to promote the status of women in the UAE society and their pioneering role which is supported by the Government, enhancing their local and global status.

The shows “Sabah Al Dar’ and ‘Rooh Aletihad’ (Spirit of the Union)” were fully dedicated to cover the Women's Day, and will be hosted by female presenters only. An episode of the gripping show “Min Raheeq Al Iman” will also be fully dedicated to cover the UAE Women's Day.

Abu Dhabi TV channels will broadcast a number of segments devoted to the occasion, including quotes from H.H. Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak. The channels will also air a special interview with a number of national and government figures, including H.E. Noura Al Kaabi, Minister of State for Federal National Council Affairs and H.E. Ali Bin Tamim, the General Manager of Abu Dhabi Media.

The show ‘Sabah Al Dar’ will be featuring a special segment on Dubai Police all female VIP Protection Squad to highlight women’s participation, side by side with men, in the advancement and development of the UAE, thanks to the unlimited support of the UAE leadership, which facilitated women’s entry to various sectors of the military institution.

In this context, the show will be hosting corporal Naima Jamal, and warrant officer Huda Hussein Abdullah, of the VIP Protection Squad.

Abu Dhabi TV will show a segment on “highly motivated people” which will feature Fatimah Al Baloushi who suffers polio, to present her as a role model and active volunteer, with several volunteer initiatives, as well as her equestrian and horseback riding skills.

‘Sabah Al Dar” provides examples of female engineers in ADNOC and their role, as well as female Emirati engineers and doctors, who have excelled in their jobs within a very short time and were able to prove themselves and acquire senior positions.

The show also features a segment titled "Entrepreneurs", which deals with the story of "Umm Saeed", the UAE pioneer in the field of volunteering and a member of the Hatta Society for Culture, Arts and Heritage. She is an ideal mother who has struggled alone to raise her children and has 5,000 hours of volunteer work organizing national events across United Arab Emirates.

Also, the show ‘Spirit of the Union’ on Al Emarat TV, will present a special episode for the day, where it will be hosting H.E. Naema Al Sharhan, member of the Federal National Council, Ms. Sheikha Al Maskari, Chief Innovation Officer, Emirates Space Agency, and Dr. Hawaa Al Mansouri, Endocrinology and Diabetes Consultant, Depute Medical Director, at the award winning Imperial College London Diabetes Center.

The program will also feature a series of video reports on Etihad Airways, Dar Zayed Islamic Culture in Al Ain, Family Development Foundation in Abu Dhabi and the UAE Women's Award in Ajman.

Special coverage by Aletihad newspaper

Aletihad newspaper will provide special coverage on the occasion of the UAE Women's Day, which will include a main cover page and an eight-page coverage within the newspaper. The coverage will feature speeches and press statements by national and government officials on the role of Emirati women, and special reports focusing on the role of UAE women and their success stories under the wise leadership of the UAE leaders, along with a presentation on the most prominent and important non-traditional positions held by the UAE women and proved successful by all standards.

Zahrat Al Khaleej cover

Abu Dhabi Media publication, Zahrat Al Khaleej, is providing a special coverage of the UAE Women's Day dedicating its cover page to the occasion with the slogan: “Emirati Woman: a partner in goodness and giving”. The coverage which highlights the official female leaders in the UAE including members of the Council of Ministers and the Federal National Council.

The magazine focuses on the empowerment of women in various official fields and the support devoted by the UAE leadership to female entrepreneurs, as well as their capabilities and achievements along their services to the UAE and its people.
