Abu Dhabi TV network marks Eid Al Fitr
26 June 2017Abu Dhabi TV network announced that it will mark Eid Al Fitr celebrations with live and comprehensive coverage of different events held between (1 – 3 Shawal 1438), 25 – 27 June 2017. The network will broadcast a collection of social entertainment and interactive programs that reflect Abu Dhabi Media’s commitment towards purposeful content that meets the needs of all segments of society.
The coverage will start at 6:00 a.m. with a live broadcast on both Abu Dhabi and Al Emarat TV channels of the Eid prayer from the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi. The coverage will continue until 7:00 a.m. followed by supplication and national songs. Then, the channels will broadcast Their Highnesses Sheikhs' reception of the well wishers starting from 8:00 a.m.
Both channels will celebrate Eid Al Fitr on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday on Sabah Al Dar and Spirit of the Union programs. Sabah Al Dar "Happy Eid" program will start at 12:00 p.m. and will host over two hours of interviews with artists on their work displayed during the holy month of Ramadan and their experiences with Ramadan and Eid Al Fitr.
The program will be presented by Mohamed Al Junaibi and Asmahan Abdullah on the first day, Abdullah bin Haider and Nada Al Shaibani on the second day, and Abdullah bin Haider and Asmahan Al Naqabi on the third day.
The ‘Spirit of the Union’ program that airs 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. will provide coverage of the events around the United Arab Emirates celebrating Eid Al Fitr and broadcasting related atmospheres and manifestations. The program will tour the UAE to show these celebrations; it will also host many public figures and some presenters of Ramadan programs on Abu Dhabi TV. The program will be presented in the three days on a rotating basis by Abdullah Al Ghamdi, Safia Al Shehhi, Rafid Al Harthi and Ameera Mohammed.
Kholoud Stories and Al Shara programs will continue to run during the Eid days to present a number of sections that reflect the Eid celebrations. News bulletin will broadcast at 2:00 p.m. and will be on for half an hour, while Olom Al Dar will start at 8:00 p.m. and will air for one hour only.
