Abu Dhabi Media Support Services gets 6 international certifications

  • Abu Dhabi Media is the first media organization to receive these international accreditations in a single integrated management system
  • The Department's integrated management system incorporates quality, environment, safety, occupational health, risk, innovation and customer complaints management.

Abu Dhabi Media’s Services Department has received six international certifications for its integrated management system that was adopted and completed during the first quarter of this year. The system incorporates quality, environment, safety, occupational health, risk, innovation and customer complaints management, according to SGS Gulf Ltd. assessment.

This accreditation is deemed as one of the company's key achievements. It reflects Abu Dhabi Media's commitment to developing advanced management systems, in compliance with the highest international standards and best practices, in support of the company's vision, mission and strategic directives to enhance its internal and external service delivery, achieve corporate excellence of services and processes, and to develop internal capabilities and competencies. The Integrated Management System was created in the Support Services Department with internal efforts and in accordance with the approved development strategy.

The Integrated Management System obtained the international certifications by the end of the first quarter this year. The quality management system got the ISO 9001: 2015 certification, while the Environment Management System (ISO) was awarded the ISO 14001: 2015 certification, OHSAS 18001:2007 certification for Occupational Health and Safety Management System, ISO 10002: 2014 certification for the Customer Complaints Management System, ISO 31000: 2009 for the Risk Management System, and CEN/TS 16555-1:2013 for Innovation Management System.

H.E. Dr. Ali Bin Tamim, General Manager of Abu Dhabi Media, praised the efforts made by the Support Services Department of earning the international certifications. “This international certification is a clear indication of the efforts made by Abu Dhabi Media employees, which reflect dedication and creativity to enhance the quality and excellence of services in line with the core values of Abu Dhabi Media. This establishes Abu Dhabi Media’s position at the forefront of the media industry in the region, and contributes to the provision of high quality media services and encourages us to keep working hard to develop our services and realize bigger achievements in the future.” he said.

Dr. Hilal Saeed Al Derai, Chief Support Services Officer, thanked Dr. Ali Bin Tamim for his support and sponsorship of the integrated management system development in the Department. “The Integrated Management System project, with the unlimited support of Abu Dhabi Media’s senior management, was able achieve all the desired objectives in a short period of time, all with the efforts and expertise of our in-house teams, which highlights Abu Dhabi Media’s achievement as the first media institution to gain several international certifications in a single integrated management system. This reflects our commitment to adopt highest performance and quality standards, and fuels our continued development efforts which is the approach adopted by Abu Dhabi Media to maintain its leading position.” He concluded.
