Abu Dhabi Media discusses prospects for cooperation with the Emirates Youth Council in Abu Dhabi23 March 2017
On 26 March 2017, H.E. Dr. Ali Bin Tamim, General Manager of Abu Dhabi Media, met with a delegation of young leaders from Abu Dhabi Youth Council at his office, where both parties discussed prospects of mutual cooperation between them and launching innovative quantum initiative to promote the Council and enhance its media presence, strengthening the presence and involvement of the youth across different sectors within the society.
"The UAE youth has proven their competence and willingness to carry out the responsibilities entrusted to them, which can be seen in the leadership positions they are currently holding successfully in various fields. This requires us to provide them all the support they need and promote their presence and status.” Dr. Tamim said during the meeting in the presence of several Abu Dhabi Media officials. “Abu Dhabi Media is devoting special attention to supporting youth through its various media platforms as part of its ongoing commitment to serve the public interest and to achieve the company's strategic values and community objectives that are consistent with the vision and guidance of the wise leadership and their instructions to render successful any initiatives aimed at promoting the role of youth, as one of the most important components of the UAE society and the partners of the present and future who will continue the march of progress towards the future”.
Bin Tamim stressed the importance of enriching the content of the Abu Dhabi Media platforms by raising the issues and aspirations of youth not only domestically, but also at an Arab world level, stressing the importance of benefiting from the accumulated experience of the UAE’s youth and their involvement in the preparation for future youth programs.
Abu Dhabi Youth Council is the executive and representing channel of the Emirates Youth Council in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. The UAE Cabinet established the Emirates Youth Council in February 2016 under the chairmanship of H.E. the Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Shamma Al Mazrui, in order to develop a strategy for youth in line with the future directions of the UAE, and to identify challenges and propose appropriate solutions and programs.
The Council also proposes the necessary solutions to promote the positive participation of young people across the society in the UAE and identifies their views on the most important issues related to them, and ultimately contributes to the promotion of the national identity, patriotism and represents youth in various international forums.
