Moral education to be discussed in next episode of Zohor Al Omr on Emarat TV

The 9th episode of the weekly program Zohor Al Omr presented by Shams Al Saadi on Emarat TV will discuss the subject of moral education based on the directions of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, to include moral education within the curricula as an experimental subject taught in some schools. The episode will be aired on Friday 28 April at 7:00 p.m. UAE local time (6:00 p.m. Mecca time).     

The episode will host Dr. Karima Matar Al Mazroui, Executive Director of the School Education Sector – Abu Dhabi Education Council, to talk about the objective and the teaching methodology of the moral education subject and how the students feel about it.   

The episode will also host Dr. Houssam Tema, ENT Consultant to help explain how children suffer when they develop inflammation of the inner ear (otitis media) and warn of the use of cotton swabs to clean the ears in children as they can cause severe damage to the inner ear and the brain as a whole. The last section of the program will discuss the problem of delayed speech in toddlers and how this condition causes some parents to worry. This problem will be addressed by Ms. Sarah Bashar, Speech and Language Pathologist, explaining that a child would have been said to have delayed speech when it does not use meaningful words within 18 – 30 months.             

Presented by Shams Al Saadi, ‘Zohor Al Omr’ is a program about children from cradle to the primary school. It covers the psychological, health and social aspects of the children life and informs the family of the problems that their children may go through and how to find practical solutions to them such as identifying the child personalities and why children develop such personality as well as the healthy diet for children, etc.
